The Valufi 6V DNA Processor
Every asset has a DNA.
Valufi proves it.
Six stages take any asset — intellectual property, real estate, or securities — from a simple classification request to a Sealed DNA Packet in immutable title housing.
Six stages. One record.
Each stage produces one DNA Component — the sealed record elements that travel with the asset through the entire process. No stage can be skipped, and no claim advances unverified.

DNA Component · Validated CategoryHow Step 1 Works
Every asset entering the Valufi 6V DNA Processor begins with a single classification decision: What is the asset?
This step routes the asset into the correct verification track. Each asset type below carries a Valufi Asset-Type Code (VAT-xx-nn) used throughout the remaining five stages of the 6V DNA pipeline.
Select your asset class to begin:
- Intellectual Property (IP)
- Real Estate (RE)
- Securities & Financial Assets (SFA)
- Other / Not Sure — a Valufi specialist reviews and classifies the asset manually.

Classification only. Step 1 classification is an intake routing function and does not constitute a legal determination of asset status, an offer, or a sale of securities. Legal classification may change based on ownership structure, fractionalization, and transferability. Valufi reviews ownership claims, provenance, valuation, and record integrity in the stages that follow.
Verify Ownership Interest
The Equity Matrix Intake
DNA Component · Equity MatrixHow Step 2 Works
Step 1 answered what the asset is. Step 2 answers who owns what share of it.
The Valufi Equity Matrix captures every ownership position attached to the asset — from a 100% sole owner to a 3% fractional holder to a lender with a secured claim. Every interest declared here becomes a data element in the asset's ownership DNA.
Step 2 captures six things:
| # | Intake Field | What the User Provides |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Claimant Role | The capacity in which they hold the asset (owner, co-owner, beneficiary, shareholder, lienholder, trustee, licensee…) |
| 2 | Claimed Ownership % | The exact percentage claimed — whole, fractional, or partial |
| 3 | Interest Type | Direct, indirect, beneficial, contractual, contingent, secured, or disputed |
| 4 | Evidence Category | The document class that supports the claim (deed, assignment, cap table, operating agreement, trust document, lien filing…) |
| 5 | Restriction Flags | Transfer limits, encumbrances, consent requirements, rights of first refusal, lock-ups, active disputes |
| 6 | Claim Status | Declared — pending Valufi verification in Steps 3–5 |
Universal Interest Types (VOI Library)
Every ownership position entering the Valufi processor is classified with a Valufi Ownership Interest Code (VOI-nn).
| Code | Interest Type | Typical Form | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| VOI-01 | Sole Ownership (100%) | Outright, unencumbered full title | Sole patent assignee; fee-simple owner |
| VOI-02 | Co-Ownership % | Tenancy-in-common or undivided fractional share | 25% TIC interest in a property |
| VOI-03 | Joint Ownership | Joint tenancy, tenancy by entirety, community property | Spouses holding title jointly |
| VOI-04 | Beneficial Ownership | Ownership held through a trust, nominee, custodian, or fund structure | Trust beneficiary entitled to 60% of distributions |
| VOI-05 | Entity Interest % | LLC membership, LP partnership, or corporate shareholding | 40% LLC member holding real estate |
| VOI-06 | Contractual Interest % | License rights, royalty share, revenue participation | 50% royalty split on a copyrighted catalog |
| VOI-07 | Contingent / Future Interest | Options, warrants, SAFEs, earn-outs, rights of first refusal, reversions, remainder interests | Warrant exercisable into 5% equity |
| VOI-08 | Secured Creditor Claim | Mortgage, lien, security interest, pledge | Lender holding a deed of trust on 100% of the asset as collateral |
| VOI-09 | Use & Occupancy Rights | Leasehold, ground lease, easement, license to use | 99-year ground lessee |
| VOI-10 | Disputed / Competing Claim | Any percentage claim under challenge, litigation, or competing assertion | Competing heirs each claiming 50% |
| VOI-11 | Partial Assignment | Transfer of fewer than all rights, or of rights in part of a territory/field | 50% assignment of patent rights in the EU only |
| VOI-12 | Portfolio / Bundle Interest | One position spanning multiple assets at different percentages | Owner of 100% of the trademark but 30% of the underlying patent |

Advanced Equity Matrix Captures
For sophisticated intake parties, Step 2 optionally captures three institutional-grade distinctions:
- Record vs. Beneficial % — whose name the asset is in versus who economically benefits (critical for trusts, funds, nominees, and custodial holdings).
- Control Rights vs. Economic Rights — a party may control decisions with a small % or hold economic upside without control (voting vs. non-voting, managing member vs. passive member).
- Encumbered vs. Free-and-Clear % — the split between percentage available for transfer and percentage subject to liens, pledges, or security interests.
Declarations only. Step 2 records ownership claims and percentages as declared. All declared interests remain subject to Valufi's provenance validation and equity reconciliation in the stages that follow. A declared percentage is not a certified percentage until the Forensic Seal issues.
Validate Provenance
The Forensic Seal
DNA Component · Forensic Seal (Digital Deed)How Step 3 Works
Step 1 established what the asset is. Step 2 captured who owns what share. Step 3 asks the only question that matters to a counterparty, lender, or institutional buyer:
Is the record trued?
Valufi subjects the completed Equity Matrix and the asset's full ownership history to a forensic provenance review. Nothing is taken at face value — every declared interest from Step 2 is tested against the record before the asset can advance.
The Review Covers
| # | Review Area | What It Confirms |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Chain of Custody | Every transfer in the asset's history is traced and reconciled — from origin to current holder |
| 2 | Encumbrance Cross-Reference | No unresolved liens, pledges, security interests, or claims are identified within the validation scope |
| 3 | Jurisdictional Compliance Screening | The ownership record is screened against applicable jurisdictional requirements |
| 4 | Interest Conflict Detection | Competing claims, gaps, or contradictions in the Equity Matrix are identified and resolved or flagged |
Two Outcomes. Only One Advances.
Trued — The Record Holds
When the automated review verifies and an authorized Digital Asset Engineer (DAE) reviewer — Valufi's human-in-the-loop validation layer — reviews the results and approves the validation, Valufi issues the:
The Forensic Seal: Digital Deed of Asset Ownership
The Seal is the asset's certified provenance record — the DNA Component that stamps the ownership history as trued, and the foundation every later stage (Valuation, Reconciliation, Vaulting) builds on. The Digital Deed is a Valufi-issued digital ownership record; it complements, and does not replace, government-issued deeds, court determinations, or legal title opinions.
The Seal certifies that: - The asset type was verified (Step 1) - Every declared ownership % was tested against the record (Step 2) - Chain of custody is traced and reconciled - No unresolved encumbrances were identified within the validation scope - An authorized Digital Asset Engineer reviewer approved the result
Not Trued — Remediation Required
When the review surfaces a defect — a broken chain, an undisclosed encumbrance, a conflicting claim — the asset halts. It does not proceed to valuation. The intake party receives a remediation notice identifying what must be resolved before the process can resume.
No seal, no advancement. That is the standard.
Validation Status Codes (VPS Library)
The website displays each asset's live status through Step 3:
| Code | Status | Public Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| VPS-01 | Pending Review | Equity Matrix received; awaiting forensic review |
| VPS-02 | In Review | Provenance validation underway |
| VPS-03 | Trued — DAE Review | Automated checks passed; awaiting Digital Asset Engineer approval |
| VPS-04 | Sealed | Forensic Seal issued — Digital Deed of Asset Ownership live |
| VPS-05 | Remediation Required | Defect identified; process halted pending resolution |
| VPS-06 | Re-Review | Remediation submitted; asset re-entering validation |
The New Golden Standard. In most markets, ownership is assumed. At Valufi, it is proven. Every asset that carries the Forensic Seal has passed a forensic provenance review and received authorized Digital Asset Engineer approval before its Digital Deed issues. If the record doesn't hold, the process stops — and tells you why.
Scoped validation. Step 3 is a Valufi provenance-validation output based on the declared Equity Matrix, the asset's recorded history, and Valufi's validation scope. It is not legal advice, a court determination, or a public-record filing, and does not constitute an offer, sale, or transfer of any asset or security.
Determine Asset Valuation
The Asset Appraisal
DNA Component · Asset AppraisalHow Step 4 Works
A valuation is only as good as the record behind it. In most markets, appraisals value assets whose ownership is assumed. At Valufi, an asset is valued only after its ownership record has been trued under the Forensic Seal (Step 3).
The result is the Asset Appraisal — the DNA Component that attaches a record-backed valuation opinion to the Forensic-Sealed asset.
What Makes a Valufi Valuation Different
- Seal-first valuation — Only Forensic-Sealed assets enter valuation. The appraisal inherits the trued Equity Matrix, not unverified claims.
- Per-interest value, not just asset value — The appraisal is joined to the Equity Matrix. A verified 25% interest receives an allocated valuation output, subject to the rights, restrictions, encumbrances, control position, and liquidity profile attached to that interest — not a blind pro-rata multiple.
- Encumbered vs. free-and-clear value — The appraisal separates the value of each interest from any liens, pledges, or encumbrances carried in the record, so buyers and lenders see what is actually available.
- Live-linked refresh — A Valufi appraisal is not a one-time PDF. The appraisal stays linked to the sealed record and is designed to refresh when approved market inputs, ownership records, or encumbrance data are updated.
Valuation Approaches (VAM Library)
Valufi applies the recognized valuation disciplines appropriate to each asset class, selected and weighted per asset:
| Code | Approach | Applied To |
|---|---|---|
| VAM-01 | Income Approach | Royalty streams, licensing income, rent rolls, debt service, revenue shares |
| VAM-02 | Market Approach | Comparable sales, licensing comparables, market pricing of like assets |
| VAM-03 | Cost / Replacement Approach | Development cost, reproduction cost, replacement value |
| VAM-04 | Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) | Multi-period income assets, funds, structured instruments |
| VAM-05 | Net Asset Value (NAV) | Fund interests, portfolios, multi-asset bundles |
| VAM-06 | Hybrid / Multi-Method | Assets requiring blended approaches (e.g., IP + real estate packages) |
Per-class weighting examples:
- Intellectual Property — income (royalty and license streams), market (comparable licensing transactions), cost (development and replacement)
- Real Estate — income capitalization, sales comparison, cost
- Securities & Financial Assets — market pricing, DCF, NAV for funds and structured interests
Valuation Output Includes
Every Valufi Asset Appraisal carries the fields institutional users expect:
| Output Field | Description |
|---|---|
| As-of Date | The valuation date the opinion speaks to |
| Valuation Basis | Fair market value, fair value, liquidation, replacement, or investment value |
| Value Indication | Presented as a range, point estimate, or scenario-based indication depending on asset class and data availability |
| Methods & Weighting | Which approaches (VAM codes) were applied and how they were weighted |
| Assumptions & Limiting Conditions | What the appraisal assumes and what it does not cover |
| Data Confidence Level | Strength of the inputs behind the opinion |
| Encumbrance Adjustment | Impact of liens, pledges, and security interests on value |
| Control & Marketability Adjustment | Adjustments for control position, transfer restrictions, and liquidity |
| Refresh Status | Whether the appraisal is current, queued for refresh, or halted |
Valuation Status Codes (VVS Library)
The website displays each asset's live valuation status:
| Code | Status | Public Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| VVS-01 | Awaiting Seal | Asset in Steps 1–3; valuation not yet eligible |
| VVS-02 | Valuation In Progress | Appraisal underway on a sealed asset |
| VVS-03 | Appraisal Draft | Preliminary appraisal issued; under review |
| VVS-04 | Valued — Current | Asset Appraisal live and linked to the sealed record |
| VVS-05 | Valued — Refresh Scheduled | Market inputs moved; refresh queued |
| VVS-06 | Valuation Halted | Record change or defect detected; valuation suspended pending re-validation |
Value the record, not the claim. Anyone can estimate what an asset is worth. Valufi values what is proven: the asset type, the ownership percentages, and the encumbrance picture — all Forensic-Sealed before the first number is produced. And because the appraisal stays linked to the sealed record, your number is designed to stay current instead of aging in a drawer.
An estimate, not a guarantee. A Valufi Asset Appraisal is a valuation opinion based on the sealed ownership record and available market inputs at the time of the appraisal. It is not a guarantee of sale price, a credit decision, investment advice, or an offer, sale, or solicitation of any asset or security. Valuation outputs may be presented as a range, point estimate, or scenario-based indication depending on asset class, data availability, and valuation purpose. Valuations change as market inputs and records change.
Reconcile True Value
The Reconciled Value
DNA Component · Reconciled ValueHow Step 5 Works
Steps 1–4 produced a verified asset type, a declared Equity Matrix, a Forensic Seal, and an Asset Appraisal. Each stage was rigorous on its own. Step 5 asks the final question before vaulting:
Does everything agree?
Step 5 carries forward the completed Equity Matrix from Step 2 and reconciles it against the Forensic Seal from Step 3 and the Asset Appraisal from Step 4. In traditional processes, ownership records, appraisals, and equity schedules live in separate documents that drift apart — a cap table updated here, an appraisal filed there, an encumbrance recorded somewhere else. Valufi's equity reconciliation closes that gap: the Reconciled Value issues only when the entire record is internally consistent.
What Gets Reconciled
| # | Reconciliation Check | What Must Hold |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ownership Completeness | Current ownership interests reconcile to 100% within the defined asset and rights scope — liens, options, licenses, and contingent claims are separately classified so they do not inflate the ownership total |
| 2 | Value Allocation | Allocated interest values tie back to the Asset Appraisal, with any discounts, premiums, restrictions, preferences, or liquidity adjustments explained in the reconciliation bridge |
| 3 | Encumbrance Mapping | Encumbrances are mapped by amount, priority, affected percentage, and valuation impact |
| 4 | Rights Alignment | Control and economic adjustments in the appraisal match the rights declared in the Equity Matrix |
| 5 | Record Consistency | The appraisal still reflects the current sealed record — nothing drifted since the Forensic Seal issued |
When all five checks hold, the asset's ownership DNA is in agreement from end to end — and the Reconciled Value, the fifth DNA Component, issues.
True Value Is Reached
After Step 5, the asset's record tells one coherent story: what it is, who owns what share, that the record is trued, what it is worth, and that every number agrees. In Valufi terms, true value means the verified ownership record, appraisal basis, and value allocation reconcile within the defined scope — it is a proven, internally consistent record of worth, not a market price quote.
When the Numbers Don't Agree
If reconciliation surfaces a variance — allocated values that don't tie, an encumbrance missing from the map, a record that drifted — the asset does not advance to vaulting. It is routed back to the stage where the discrepancy originates (re-appraisal or re-validation) and returns only when the record reconciles.
Reconciliation Output Includes
| Output Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Reconciliation Date | The as-of date of the reconciliation |
| Linked Forensic Seal ID | The Step 3 seal this reconciliation is built on |
| Linked Asset Appraisal ID | The Step 4 appraisal being reconciled |
| Ownership Allocation Table | Every interest, its VOI code, and its reconciled percentage |
| Value Allocation Table | Every interest's allocated value and adjustments |
| Encumbrance & Priority Schedule | Amount, priority, and affected percentage of each encumbrance |
| Variance Log | Any discrepancies found and how each was resolved |
| Final Status | Ready to Vault, or remediation required |
Reconciliation Status Codes (VRS Library)
The website displays each asset's live reconciliation status:
| Code | Status | Public Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| VRS-01 | Awaiting Appraisal | Asset in Steps 1–4; reconciliation not yet eligible |
| VRS-02 | In Reconciliation | Cross-checks running across the sealed record and appraisal |
| VRS-03 | Reconciled — True Value Reached | All five checks hold; Reconciled Value issued |
| VRS-04 | Variance Detected | Discrepancy found; source identified |
| VRS-05 | Re-Appraisal Required | Variance traced to valuation; returning to Step 4 |
| VRS-06 | Re-Validation Required | Variance traced to the ownership record; returning to Step 3 |
One record. Every number in agreement. A cap table that says one thing, an appraisal that says another, and a title file that says neither — that is the industry default. Valufi reconciles them: ownership percentages, allocated values, encumbrances, and rights must all agree before an asset reaches its final vault. If they don't, it doesn't vault.
A reconciliation, not a price guarantee. The Reconciled Value confirms that the asset's verified ownership record, Equity Matrix, and Asset Appraisal are internally consistent within the defined scope as of the reconciliation date. It is not a guarantee of sale price, liquidity, or market acceptance, and does not constitute investment advice or an offer, sale, or solicitation of any asset or security.
Vault the Ownership Record
The Sealed DNA Packet
DNA Component · Sealed DNA PacketHow Step 6 Works
An asset reaches the Vaults only one way: by completing all five prior stages. There is no vaulting a claim, a guess, or a partial record. Only reconciled assets — type verified, equity declared, record trued, value appraised, numbers in agreement — enter immutable title housing.
At vaulting, the five DNA Components are bound into a single Sealed DNA Packet:
| # | DNA Component | Stage of Origin |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Validated Category | Step 1 — Verify Asset Type |
| 2 | Equity Matrix | Step 2 — Verify Ownership Interest |
| 3 | Forensic Seal (Digital Deed) | Step 3 — Validate Provenance |
| 4 | Asset Appraisal | Step 4 — Determine Asset Valuation |
| 5 | Reconciled Value | Step 5 — Reconcile True Value |
The DNA Packet is the asset's complete ownership identity in one sealed record — what it is, who owns what share, that the record is trued, what it is worth, and that every number agrees.
Immutable Title Housing
What "Immutable" Means Here
Within the Valufi record layer, sealed entries are append-only and cannot be silently overwritten, edited, or backdated. Every entry is tamper-evident, and the record's history is preserved, not replaced. When facts change — a new appraisal refresh, a transferred interest, a released lien — the change is appended as a new sealed event. The record preserves the full history in sequence, subject to applicable retention, access, and legal requirements.
The Smart Vault
Each asset's DNA Packet is held in a Smart Vault with permission-controlled access:
- Configured permissions — authorized account holders (owner, trustee, custodian, or entity manager, as applicable) permission access according to configured rights
- Verified third-party access — grant a lender, buyer, auditor, or institution read-only access to a verified record without handing over documents
- Proof on demand — demonstrate the sealed status of any component, where supported, without exposing unnecessary underlying documents
- Event log — every access, refresh, and appended event is itself recorded
Vault Output Includes
| Output Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Sealed DNA Packet ID | The unique identifier of the vaulted packet |
| Linked Component IDs | The Step 1–5 components bound into the packet |
| Vault Seal Date | The timestamp of vaulting |
| Authorized Access List | Who holds what level of access, per configured permissions |
| Event History | Every access, refresh, and appended event, in sequence |
| Current Packet Status | Live vault status code |
| Supersession History | Prior packet versions, preserved and referenced |
Vault Status Codes (VLT Library)
The website displays each asset's live vault status:
| Code | Status | Public Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| VLT-01 | Vault Eligible | Reconciled Value issued; vaulting authorized |
| VLT-02 | Vault Sealed | DNA Packet sealed into immutable record housing |
| VLT-03 | Access Granted | Verified third party viewing under configured permissions |
| VLT-04 | Event Appended | New sealed event added (refresh, transfer, release) |
| VLT-05 | Record Under Review | Later-stage discrepancy flagged; packet under review |
| VLT-06 | Superseded Packet | Newer sealed packet version exists; prior version preserved |
Ownership, housed like it matters. A deed in a drawer can be lost, forged, or quietly outdated. A Valufi Smart Vault holds your asset's complete ownership DNA — verified, sealed, and reconciled — in immutable title housing under configured permissions. Share proof without sharing paperwork, and keep the whole story, in sequence, for the life of the record.
A record system, not a registry of last resort. The Smart Vault is Valufi's immutable record housing for sealed ownership DNA. It preserves and evidences the Valufi process record; it does not itself perfect legal title, replace government registries or recording systems, or constitute an offer, sale, or transfer of any asset or security. Legal title and transfer requirements vary by jurisdiction and asset class.
The Process, Complete
